Draft Progress Update: Chapter 56 + A Special Launch Announcement!
Hello again everyone, coming at you with another progress update! Stick around until the end, because I have an exciting announcement to share.
If you caught my recent Instagram and TikTok post (yes, I’m trying to stay active over on TikTok now, too!), you already know I’m officially at 56 chapters of my book! To be honest, about six hours after my last blog post on August 3rd, I had reached 45 chapters. The next section—formerly known as A Storm on The Horizon—unexpectedly yielded three whole chapters in that short window. By then it was getting late, so I decided to hold off on updating everyone until the weekend and started tackling the massive 200-page chunk I mentioned in my last post.
I honestly didn’t expect to dive into that 200-page section so soon, so even I’m blown away by how quickly things are moving. Out of those 200 pages, I’ve pulled and drafted six chapters so far. Progress is a bit slow right now as I navigate my draining day job, but with only two weeks left until my vacation, I’m pushing through—and I’m so proud of how far this project has come.
Because the rough drafting phase is winding down, I’m seriously starting to plan the next steps for editing and publishing. My plan is to do another full pass on my own to polish the manuscript and patch up any plot holes. Once that final draft is ready, it’ll be time for live editors, beta readers, or a professional editor (I’m currently exploring both options). From there, it's on to publishing! I’m leaning heavily toward self-publishing, though I still have some time to weigh my options. Once the draft is polished and closer to completion, I’ll be sharing more details, lore, and sneak peeks across my social media, so stay tuned!
Now for the big announcement: I’ve officially opened a Ko-fi page to help fund the next stage of this journey! I set up a standard tip jar, and I’m also offering intuitive tarot readings. Every bit of support goes directly toward bringing this book to life—from hiring editors and cover artists to covering publishing costs. Whether you’re interested in a reading or just want to throw a few dollars in the tip jar to support the craft, it truly means the world to me. Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement; it keeps me motivated to keep writing and ensure I deliver a damn good story.
Until next time, keep creating, keep dreaming, and thank you for being part of this journey with me!
