Yes, this story spans the stars, but at the absolute epicenter of this first book is a devastating war. Within that chaotic warscape, the story focuses on the perspectives of two warriors. They are caught on opposite sides of a shifting battlefield, finding a fierce, unexpected love on a planet that feels like it’s tearing itself apart. Their growth as individuals—and what they choose to become—is completely tied to the cosmic events unfolding around them.

I will admit, I embraced a classic, well-loved trope for this story. But I've woven it into the lore in a way that is entirely unique. It drives the drama, fuels the tension, and honestly provides a bit of needed comedic relief, all while maintaining the grounded, high-stakes seriousness of galactic warfare. Some ancient traditions simply cannot be ignored, even among the stars.
